What is Smooth?
Smooth (formerly "American Smooth"), is the American form of Ballroom Dancing, which is now sweeping the global dance community.
It is distinguishable from it's more famous cousin, English Ballroom (aka "International Standard") by it's use of both closed and open holds and dance positions. Smooth contains elements of International Standard, while also permitting dancers to separate and perform solo movements and spins.

What we're doing
Smooth Moments is a new dance education provider based in Maddington, West Australia. We focus entirely on teaching Smooth, and spreading awareness for this beautiful style of dance.
These workshops are aimed at the raw beginner that has always wanted to learn to dance. We will spend the two hours that we have with you teaching you the very base fundamentals you will need in order to reach your dancing goals. We will also cover subjects like:

- Your possible dancing career pathways (Social Dancing, Medals, Competition, Going Pro).
- We will briefly tell our stories. Believe us, they will help to shift your perception of just WHO can become a dancer.
- We will introduce you to the syllabus and training methodology we will use to hone your dancing skills.
- We will explain the structure of the course we offer, including timelines, schedules, pricing, classes vs. practice times, and we will finish off with a Q&A session where you can ask us any questions you may have about our course, and other services we offer.
- We will spend just as much time dancing and moving as we will listening and learning
